• Sci-fi writer Manly Wade Wellman took a shot ayt the P.I. genre, and managed to score a direct hit. Wellman's eye is JACKSON YATES, andin his only recorded case, 1949's Find My Killer, he's after a $5000 reward offered by a man to whomever finds his killer. And then the guy's found dead, an apparent suicide. Despite the weird plot, this is supposedly the real deal--well-drawn, and quite authentic, thanks to a lot of research.
