Probably yhe most gamous es-con eye of them all, Rockford served a five year term in San Quentin for robbery he didn't commit. He later received a full pardon.

12 years in Attica for for killing his lover's murderer.

• Nick Polo by Jerry Kennealy

Six months in a federal pen for making a "stupid mistake." Evidently his client, a lawyer, set him up.

• Franky Dast by Michael Wiley

Eight years in a supermax prison, including three on death row for a double murder.
