Well, this was a little something different
we did a while back, instead of a P.I. Poll. Instead, we had
a little fun, and actually gave away a prize for whoever could
name the private eyes pictured here. They're all icons or logos
that identified various series eyes on paperbacks in the last
forty years or so. Take a look, and see if you can figure out
who these guys are. When you think you know, click on the picture
and go to the page, to read about the eye.
The winner was Paul Bishop, who
scored nine out of ten, and received a brand new copy of The Big Book of Noir,
by Ed Gorman, Lee Server and Martin H. Greenberg, courtesy of
contributor Duane Swierczynski.
The other finalists were Anne Petersen,
Steve Brown, Jim Doherty, Robert Randisi,
Christopher Mills, Still, Paul Bergin,
Mike Morris, Mark Best, Darwin and Rick
Robinson. Thanks to them and all the others who participated.
If we get another prize donated, we might do something like this
again. I thought it was kinda fun.
As always, though, let me know what you
think...
