GABE TRELOAR is the hotshot, local Knoxville op (and don't he know it!) for the national, Cleveland-based detective agency run by Randall "Kit" Carson. And Gabe tends to be more than willing to go out on a limb for his boss, notably in the third entry in the series, 1997's Desparate Highways, where he crisscrosses the States trying to track down Kit's wayward daughter.
