Dov Taylor

Created by David Rosenbaum

In his one appearance to date, ex-cop and recovering alcoholic DOV TAYLOR is hired to to by a local rabbi to solve a murder and recover a whopper of a diamond, 72 karats worth. Seems the rabbi is mightily impressed by the fact that Dov is related to a famous Polish mystic from a hundred years or so ago, revered for his ability to discern the truth.

Supposedly quite a book, making full use of the world of New York's Hassidic community and its diamond merchants. The novel was short listed for an Edgar in 1994.
