BIG SLEEPING is a somnaulistic private eye who sleepwalks through life with a cigarette butt permanently attached to his lower lip, buried in a rumpled trenchcoat, in dire need of a shave. He's the hero of a wild, loopy, Marx Brothers-like spoof of Raymond Chandler's and a slew of other tough-talking, two-fisted private eyes, that first appeared as an Italian comic strip in 1977.
The strips prove at least popular enough to be later collected in two French albums in 1982 and 1983.
