Tough, but sensitive New Orleans gumshoe NEAL RAFFERTY appeared in three excellent novels by Chris Wiltz, all in the 1980s. Neal's a hometown boy, and he wears his love for the Big Easy on his sleeve, but he's decidedly less fond of those who would sell off what makes New Orleans' so special piece by piece for profit, be it good ol' boy politicians, criminals or Yankee carpetbaggers.
