Neal Rafferty
Created by Chris Wiltz

Tough, but sensitive New Orleans gumshoe NEAL RAFFERTY appeared in three excellent novels by Chris Wiltz, all in the 1980s. Neal's a hometown boy, and he wears his love for the Big Easy on his sleeve, but he's decidedly less fond of those who would sell off what makes New Orleans' so special piece by piece for profit, be it good ol' boy politicians, criminals or Yankee carpetbaggers.

As Bonnie Raitt was wont to say, "Blacken this, motherfuckers!"

Report respectfully submitted by Kevin Burton Smith. Recommended by O'Neil De Noux, who also writes about a New Orleans P.I., Lucien Caye.
