Created by Eduardo Mendoza (1943-)

What do you call someone who doesn't have a name? This nameless, Spanish P.I., created by Eduardo Mendoza, is mentally disturbed man who lives in a mental hospital-- he accepts his missions in order to be free.

Mendoza has published two novels featuring his rather unique detective so far. The stories are vivid, colorful and hilarious. The plots are incredible, macaronic and comic, and a little reminiascent of Richard Brautigan's C. Card.

Eduardo Mendoza is an interpreter who works at UNO. .
