NICHOLAS GALE is one of several British PI's created by Petyer Cheyney, best known for the rather nasty British P.I. Slim Callaghan, and the FBI agent/thug Lemmy Caution. He is also responsible for Carly O'Hara, Terence O'Day and Johnny Vallon.
