Tucker Wayne & Kane
Created by James Rollins and Grant Blackwood
This is real he-man stuff, featuring former Army Ranger TUCKER WAYNE and his faithful war dog KANE, a German Shepherd, as they tackle assorted global conspiracies that threaten everything freedom-loving citizens hold dear.
Seems Tucker (and Kane) may no longer be with the Army, but they sure get called upon to serve their country, zooming off to Trinidad, Siberia, Africa or wherever, and tangling with all manner of mad scientists, druglords, enemy agents and assorted assassins working on behalf of all sorts of nefarious bad guys, each intent on destroying "our very way of life."
A spinoff from the New York Times bestselling Sigma Force adventures from Rollins and Blackwood, Tucker and Kane first appeared in the the e-original story "Tracker" and the eighth Sigma Force novel Bloodline (2012), and have subsequently appeared in several novels on their own, starting with The Kill Switch (2014), hopping and bopping from one troubled hotspot to another.
Sure, it all sounds hokey, and one of the blurbs even goes: "Can Tucker and Kane withstand a force so indomitable that it threatens our very future?
But there's a catch: Rollins (and Blackwood) know how to spin a tale. It may be flag-waving hokum, but God damn, it's entertaining.
