Thea Paris

Created by K.J. Howe

Scarred by her brother Niko's kidnapping when they were children living in Africa, THEA PARIS has become one of the premier ops in the tiny but lucrative world of kidnap-and-ransom negotiations, with a reputation for being ruthlessly effective, earning her the nickname "Liberata."

She runs her own company, the London-based Quantum Security International, considered one of the world's top K&R agencies.

In the first of a proposed series, the highly touted The Freedom Broker (2017), old wounds are reopened when her beloved father, oil tycoon Christos Paris is kidnapped and Thea and her team are called in.

Born in Toronto, the globetrotting author/adventurer has lived in Africa, the Middle East, Europe, and the Caribbean, and attended Salzburg International Preparatory School, Neuchâtel Junior College, and Albert College before earning a Specialists Degree in Business from the University of Toronto. She returned to school, however where she earned a Masters in Writing Popular Fiction from Seton Hill University. She currently lives in Toronto, but she is often missing in action.
