The DeWitt Agency

Matt Friedrich & Carson

Created by Lance Charnes

MATT FRIEDRICH used to run a successful art gallery in Los Angeles -- the only problem was that a lot of the stuff he was selling didn't actually belong to him. He was basically a fence for stolen art, but he was pretty good at it, becoming an expert at "authenticating" a painting's provenance.

Until he was caught.

He's served his time, though, and now he's out, and with the help of his ex-cop buddy Carson, running The DeWitt Agency, an organization specializing in "retrieving" stolen art on behalf of its legal owners.

Or, given the long, tangled and often shadowy history of art and the way it's bought and sold, perhaps that should be "legal" owners.
