A thoughtful look at "the toll domestic violence takes within American homes and... how the church might address it," Linda Hall books, including her two novels featuring Bangor, Maine private investigator TERI BLAKE-ADDISON, don't shy away from asking some troubling questions about the intersection between modern life and modern Christianity."
Teri's a bit of a wisecracker, a good-natured former cop who does daily battle with assorted houseplants and goes to church regularly with her new husband Jack. She's also -- as she'd be happy to tell you -- a pretty good investigator. Which is handy, given the complex cases she works which seem to come doused in ethical and moral dilemmas.
Linda Hall is also the author of several other novels, including the bestselling Margaret's Peace, the "Coast of Maine Series," and several nonfiction works. A former journalist and English teacher, she grew up in a pastor's home in New Jersey and attended Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, where she met her Canadian husband, Rik. The couple live in Fredericton, New Brunswick, and have two grown children.
