Ryder Hart
Created by Chip Walter
RYDER HART is a burned-out Los Angeles private eye who's been beaten down by life in Sunset Grill, a straight-to-video thriller from 1993 that seemed to be a mainstay in VHS format in videostores of the era.
They certainly didn't skimp on plot with this one. Hart, played by Peter "RoboCop" Weller who looks like he sleeps in a dumpster, is investigating his estranged wife's brutal murder with the aid of her current lover, an LAPD cop, but that soon leads them to a series of grisly killings involving albino assassins, human traffickers, suicidal in-laws, corporate malfeeasance, kinky tycoons and other assorted nastiness and plotlines that I wouldn't want to spoil here.
It's a wallow, that's for sure.
