PHELAN TIERNEY is the kind of guy you contact when you want to get real, real gone. As in, vanished. Missing. Pfft!
The former lawyer may consider himself a sort of "twenty-first-century handyman," but he's really in pretty much the same line of work as Thomas Perry's Jane Whitefield.
He helps people who want to start their lives over, by helping them disappear. In a good way.
And judging from his debut, The Mercy of the Night (2015), he's pretty good at it.
A former private investigator, David Corbett is the author of several well-received thrillers, including The Devil's Redhead, Done for a Dime and the Edgar-nominated Blood of Paradise, as well as a book on writing, The Art of Character (2013). His short fiction and poetry have appeared in numerous magazines and anthologies, and his nonfiction has appeared in the New York Times, Narrative, MovieMaker, Bright Lights, Writerís Digest, and numerous other venues.
