Yet another of pulpster Torey's seemingly endless supply of private eyes, PETE HALLORAN appears in, as far as I can tell, only one short story, narrated in first person.

Hmmmm.... I wonder if he's any relation to James Halloran, a similarly rough-and-tough gumshoe who also appears in only one story by Torrey, also narrated in first person.
