John Trapper
Created by Sandra Brown
Hotshot TV newshawk Kerra Bailey wants bitter, disillusioned Fort Worth private eye JOHN TRAPPER to help her get an exclusive interview with his father, Major Franklin Trapper to discuss the Dallas bombing from twenty-five years earlier that made him a hero (and for a while a celebrity), but ultimately drove yet another wedge between the estranged father and son.
But it's complicated. John's at war with the world, it seems, and he wants nothing to do with his father. He's also still plenty pissed off at the ATF who fired him.
However, when Kerra suggests there's more to the bombing than was revealed at the time, Trapper is hooked. Especially when the interview goes awry, and someone tries to take out both Kerra and his father in romance author Sandra Brown's Seeing Red (2017).
Sandra Brown is one of the world's best-selling authors, not afraid to toss a little raunch into her romantic thrillers. She's never really done a private eye series, but she did create another P.I., Dodge Hanley, in Tough Customer (2010).
