JOE HUNTER has worked for the British army, the CIA, and for Special Ops, spending fourteen years in counter-terrorism, and along the way he's picked up a trick or two. Which may be why this transplanted Brit (born in Manchester, currently living in the U.S.A.) is such an effective -- and often deadly -- "problem solver.'
Think of Joe as Jack Reacher... but for hire. He's part freelance muscle and part vigilante, and given his background, it's probably not all that surprising that he's not afraid get his hands a little dirty. And this series, full of men's adventure derring-do, gives him plenty of chances to kick ass. Which he does with a nice blend of chilly pragmatism and, surprisingly a little humour.
I dunno. He's supposed to be a "new breed of action hero," but almost every blurb seems to go out of its way to compare him to Lee Childs' guy, so you have to wonder...
The author has worked in private security and for the Cumbria police department. He's an expert in kempo jujitsu, and taught at the respected Bushidokan Dojo. He's married and lives in England.
