FRANK MacALLISTER is a London-based private eye created by thriller writer Ritchie Perry, berst known for his spy novels featuring British spy Philis. Still, fans of globetrotting gumshoes might get a kick out of MacAllister's exploits. In his debut, MacAllister (1984), he's off to Portugal to investigate the murder of his brother-in-law, and in Presumed Dead (1987), he reluctactantly agrees to travel to Brazil to look into the murder of a young private-eye Alvamir Pinhal, the son of one of Brazil's most powerful and wealthiest men. The trial evetually leads to a remote area of the Amazon. NOVELS
