Cole McGinnis & Kim Jae-Min

Created by Rhys Ford

Rhys Ford demonstrates her multi-cultural influences in this promising Los Angeles-based series. Former cop turned P.I. COLE "Kenjiro" McGINNIS is of Japanese and Irish heritage, while his romantic, Kim Jae-Min is Korean.

Issues? You've got 'em. Cole is still carrying baggage from his years as a cop, particularly a nasty shootout that left his partner and his former lover both dead, and Cole critically wounded. Meanwhile Jae-Min, still with one foot in the closet, is slowly coming to terms with being disowned by his very conservative and traditional Korean family.

So far there are four books in the series, with the latest being Dirty Deeds.

Born and raised in Hawait, the author cops to sharing a house in San Diego with three cats, a dog, a ginger cairn terrorist, a 1979 Pontiac Firebird, a Toshiba laptop, and a purple Bella coffee maker.
