This slice of P.I. cheese was a Avon paperback original from 1959. Can't seem to find much on it, but the cover pretty much says it all. This is the only novel by "James Savage," as far as I can tell, but the unrepentant cheesiness of the cover has made it a collector's favourite. I've seen copies going for as much as fifty bucks.
