Tired of the same old pale males? Get some multiculture in your life!

VIC CHOPRA is an East Indian ex-cop turned private eye working in East London in the BBC's 2005 pilot Chopratown. He and his overly enthusiastic assistant Annie are hired to investigates a shady Turkish bakery owner, and somehow run afoul of an Asian wide boy.

During the course of the case he also has to deal with the hunt for a possibly stolen gay cow, the interference of former partner, newly promoted Detective Inspector Nigel Caro, and the demands of his estranged wife and baby daughter, not to mention his overbearing parents who don't think much of his current occupation.

The title, by the way, is an obvious riff on Polanski's Chinatown.
