Boone: The Bounty Hunter
Created by John Hennigan
Coming soon to a Wal-Mart near you...
It's Boone: The Bounty Hunter, a 2017 cheesfest starring parkour superstar and professional wrestler John Hennigan (aka Johnny Mundo, John Morrison, Johnny Nitro, Johnny Spade and Johnny Blaze) as BOONE, an egotistical bounty hunter who's just found out his TV reality show is going to be cancelled.
He decides the only way to keep his show on the air is to nail a drug lord who's hiding out in Mexico. To accomplish this, he has to do a lot of running, jumping and flipping through the air, apparently. Mostly while bare-chested, of course, and sporting shades.
Dumb? You bet. But also a shitload of fun, if you're in the mood. Hennigan, who also created the character (does this mean this will be a series of films?), was looking to capture that easy cheesy eighties-style action flick vibes, with all Boone's stuntwork performed by the man himself and stacking the film with as many straight-to-video stars as he could.
Hell, the film is even going to be released straight-to-digital, the closest thing you can get to straight-to-video tape these days.
