Howard Fast is yet another now-famous author who dabbled in the genre, writing Sylvia, an interesting one-book effort about down-on-his-luck private peeper MACKLIN and his search for a missing fiancee.
Blacklisted writer Fast published about thirty books under the alias of E.V. Cunningham. As he writes in the forward of a recent edition of Sylvia, he is finally claiming these books as his own, and he's especially proud of Sylvia.
