LA gumshoe MARK FORAN, plagued as he is with an "oversize bump of curiousity" appeared in only one recorded case, 1967's Murder Las Vegas Style, which takes him to Las Vegas, and its mob-run casinos, on a body-guard job for a retired Army colonel.

Author W.T. Ballard also created private eyes Sam Boyd and Hollywood trouble shooter Bill Lennox, way back in the days of the pulps, as well as detective duo Tony Costaine and Bert McCall in a string of PBO's in the late fifties and early sixties.
