XAVIER LEON MASON is one hard cat to pin down. He evidently lives in a twenty-five buck a month apartment on E 14th St. off of Avenue A on New York's Lower East Side, but I don't know if he's got one mother-humping sweet deal with his landlord or he's just a period dick.

And honestly, that's almost all I can gleam from the verious literary bits and pieces scattered on his creator's web site.

But fear not: soon, all will be revealed. In 2005, Mason's creator, Robert Lee, released Gunsels, GunMolls, & Private Dicks, a collection of "hardboiled and vintage detective fiction which includes several short stories with Mason.
