In Big Trouble for a
Little Lady, a cozy-ish twist of the P.I. genre, SANDI
WEBSTER and her partner, ex-cop PETE GOLDBERG are rookie
gumshoes with a new agency to make work and a budding romantic
relationship they're trying to sort out.
Complicating matters are their clients (including the wife of a mobster who wants her brother found and a stalking victim whose story seems pretty suspicious) and Sandi's nosey mother.
Supposedly a light blend of humour and romance, this is the first of what is to be a continuing series featuring Sandi. As one intrepid Amazon.com reviewer put it "Appealing characters and a light and undemanding plotline (no secret thrills or twists here) would be sure to satisfy the reader of cozies who is looking for a little fun with their mystery."
I know they mean well, but "undemanding"?
Nevada author McGraw's next book, however, is a standalone, Secrets of Holt House.
