General Richard "The Hammer" Ralston
Created by Eugene Cunningham (1896-1957)
Once upon a time,GENERAL RALSTON was a soldier of fortune, mostly active in Central America, where he earned the nickname of "The Hammer." Now he's working as a licensed private detective in San Francisco, although his cases tend to have a tropical background.
His archenemy is a criminal mastermind known as Toomey, whom everyone but the Hammer thinks is dead.
The author, Eugene Cunningham, was a prolific writer for the pulps, but was primarily known for his westerns. He was born in Helena, Arkansas and died in San Francisco, California.
Respectfully submitted by Glen Davis, with a little extra legwork from Kevin Burton Smith.
