John Shannon
Created by Clyde W. Ford

After serving two years in prison for a murder he didn't commit, former NYPD cop JOHN SHANNON is "temporarily free... thanks to a smart lawyer" and all he wants a little justice, in this promising upcoming novel, due out in October 2005, which has already drawn comparisions to Raymond Chandler and Walter Mosley.

John Shannon, of course, is also the name of P.I. writer whose own Jack Liffey is no slouch himself. I wonder -- a coincidence or a tip of the fedora?
