Amanda Reed and Jake West
Created by Keith Johnson

AMANDA REED and JAKE WEST are two star-crossed, bickering crime reporters working for the tabloid Crime World Magazine in this short-lived Canadian TV show from 1986.

It really wasn't that good -- a lame attempt to cash in on the then-current popularity of Moonlighting.  But the same producers did considerably better the next year with Diamonds. The show -- all twelve episodes -- was intended for CBS, who played it late-night in the fall of 1986 (which meant it could not be simulcast by CTV). It aired on the CTV in 1987.
