Here's one angry chick.
Looks like the sisters are finally doing it for themselves. Lynn S. Hightower's Lena Padget bills herself as a "womens' Equalizer," and now Baltimore's TONI CREDELLA, former singer and battered wife and current convicted husband shooter, has gotten her own P.I. ticket . When she's not working on renovating the abandoned home she bought from the city, she's out prowling the streets , looking for someone else to shoot.
Male P.I.s with out-dated sexist mindframes (and even those who forget to lower the seat) better watch out.
Actually, the author has worked very to create a refreshingly unique, original character, whose life may be almost as complex as it is interesting to follow, from her renovation headaches to her problematic relationship with handsome police officer Gus O'Dell. to whom she's sexually attracted to., Then again, she can't help remembering she was attracted to her abusive husband, too.
As one Amazon reviewer helpfully points out, Toni is "profoundly dyslexic... has no cat and never mentions knitting."
