CHARLIE RAINES, the "pot-bellied Sam Spade," is the P.I. creation of author Timothy Williams. His adventures have been featured in Ellery Queen Mystery Magazine and in fact, his 2005 entry, "The Breaks," was nminated for a 2006 Best Short Story Shamus.
EDITOR'S NOTE: I do have some notes on this character, but I'll be damned if I can find them. Can anybody help me out?
