Charlie Raines

Memphis, Tennessee-based CHARLIE RAINES, the "pot-bellied Sam Spade," is the P.I. creation of author Timothy Williams, and definitely one to watch.

His adventures have been featured in Ellery Queen Mystery Magazine and in fact, his 2005 entry, "The Breaks," was nminated for a 2006 Best Short Story Shamus, and "Half Lives" won the International Thriller Writers Award for Best Short Story.
