Charlie Noble
Created by Clyde Ford
CHARLIE FORD is an ex-Coast Guard officer now working as a freelance Marine investigator in the Pacific Northwest, who appears in a series of thrillers by Clyde Ford.
The author is a "mythologist," a trained psychotherapist, and according to his bio, a "much sought-after public speaker." He writes aboard his 30-foot Willard trawler, both mysteries (he also writes the Shango series, about an ex-con ex-cop) and numerous books of non-fiction, including Boat Green: 50 Steps Boaters Can Take to Save Our Waters, We Can All Get Along: 50 Steps You Can Take to Help End Racism and The Hero with an African Face: Mythic Wisdom of Traditional Africa. With titles like that, is it any wonder he's been Oprah-approved? Or that, following his appearance on The Oprah Winfrey Show, the second in the Charlie Noble series, Precious Cargo (2006), was reissued in hardcover and received a heavy promotional push?
