According to the publisher's spiel, BRIAN DESMOND is
a "tough, tenacious private eye who's the closest thing Boston's
got to a knight in tarnished armor." Uh-huh. So far, Sir
Brian has so far only appeared once. I guess Spenser, John
Francis Cuddy, Tom Bethany et al. can rest a bit easier.
