David Cunane
Created by Frank Lean

British author Frank Lean's intriguing, intelligent, well-received novels about quirky Manchester private eye DAVID CUNANE are a real treat. Cunane is a quirky, morally ambiguous yet idealistic eye with a weakness for hootch, (usually the wrong) women, and lost causes. And he's been known to hold a few tricks up his sleeve.

Needless to say, he's a grave disappointment to his father, former detective Superintendant Paddy Cunane of the Manchester Police Force. He's assisted by his sometime lover and partner, Delise, who has a few tricks of her own.

Frank Lean was born in 1942 and lives in Manchester. He is the author of seven novels, so far, in the Dave Cunane series. The third, The Reluctant Investigator, was shortlisted for The CWA Gold Dagger.
