Former television child star MARTY BURNS (you remember that classic oldie hit sitcom Salt and Pepper, right?) is now just another LA private dick trying to walk in Marlowe's shoes, who gets sucked into the usual mess of pimps, disembowelled hookers, snuff films, samurais from Hell, and nefarious supernatural plots to summon real demons into the present-day Los Angeles.
But the notoriety he received from his first two recorded cases, Celestial Dogs (1997) and Burning Bright (1997), actually end up landing him a new acting gig. Not that his life seems to go any smoother, now that's back on top -- people around him seem to die with alarming frequency.
File this one under Gonzo, and don't look back....
