Rachel Gold
Created by Michael A. Kahn

Yet another defense attorney who prefers a hands-on approach to investigation and building a case, St. Louis lawyer RACHEL GOLD joins a long list that stretches back at least as far as Erle Stanley Gardner's Perry Mason and Harold Masur's Scott Jordan.

Rachel's a Harvard Law School grad who did a stint as a junior associate before coming home to St. Louis to hang up her own shingle. The books usually focus on various legal questions.

Author Michael Kahn shares much of Rachel's background, but he's a partner in a large firm that specializes in civil litigation. According to Detecting Men, he's a full-time trial attorney and married father of five who writes from ten to midnight on his laptop at the kitchen table.
