Matt Richter

These are my first thoughts:

Someone must have heard that zombies are the new vampires...

Because otherwise, I can't see much point in foisting MATT RICHTER, Zombie P.I., upon the world.

I'm not a zombie reader, so I'm not really qualified to discuss how well the author adheres to the tropes of that shambling sub-genre of brain-dead walking corpses, although he tosses in enough magical mumbo jumbo, sci-fi woo-woo and fan-boy geekiness to cover all bases. It's when he crosses over into our turf and we're supposed to also accept a cogent (but dead) private peeper with a decaying corpse for a body that my eyebrows raise.

And when I'm told he shambles down the mean streets of some burg called Nekropolis full of vampires, werewolves and various mutants courtesy of science and sorcery that my WTF senses really start tingling...

But those are just my first impressions. I'll get back to you when I finish the book...
