Yes, it's a sequel, and a rather pointless one at that, to 1989's K-9, which wasn't any great shakes, either. This one's harmless enough, and kids may love it, but Belushi mastered his lovable bumbling oaf persona a long time ago, so this isn't really breaking any new ground. And really, how many doggy doo jokes does one actor have to do in his career? No wonder this one went straight-to-video.
If they're set on doing this type of film, they should at least get bettter material. I hear Norbert Davis' Doan and Cartstairs is up for grabs.
