As the world totters towards World War II, former LAPD detective-turned-MGM fixer CHRIS BLANCHARD has other things on his mind: namely, how to clear actress Marie McDaniels of a murder rap in the noirish, Chandleresque A Rhumba in Waltz Time (2011). Along for the ride are some Nazi sympathizers and gangster Bugsy Siegel.

Fans of the similarly-themed but short-lived TV show City of Angels from way back in 1976 might get a kick out of this one.
