Jouis Lait
Created by Kermit Jaediker

JOUIS LAIT? Kermit Jaediker? Is someone pulling my leg, here? Jouis is supposedly a private eye who showed up in at least one 1953 paperback from Lion.

Fortunately, I've got Big Al Hubin covering my back here. He cautions that he doesn't "have the book to check the character's name, but Jaediker (ca.1912-1986) was real (has a Contemporary Authors entry), and the book may have first appeared in hard cover in 1947."

NOVELS

Thanks, Al.
